I was pretty lousy at sports in grade school —

I was often the “weakest link” on my volleyball and tennis teams, and this made my life a living hell with my success-driven peers.

FAST FORWARD 12 YEARS LATER…

And my hand-eye coordination is no better now than it was then.

But when I first came to San Francisco, the only person I knew was Decker…

So to meet women, make friends, and get involved, I began scanning Craigslist, and one thing that struck me immediately was all the cool dancing styles and classes available.

These were “instant communities” I could connect with, and learn a cool new skill at the same time.

And it sure beat the bar scene for meeting interesting women, so I began taking classes —

And even though my feet were as uncoordinated as the rest of me, I took partner dancing classes like Salsa, Tango, even Blues dancing….(yes, there is a dance style called “Blues Dancing” — and it’s one of the easiest, sexiest dance styles to learn, in my 2-left-footed-experience)…

There’s something about partner dancing that evokes deep polarity and attraction —

traditionally requiring Presence of the man, and Trust & Surrender from the woman…

It’s like sex — bodies moving together — that creates an EMOTIONAL RIDE for the woman —  without all the complications!   I LOVE this dynamic….

But the one partner activity that I’d really been most inspired by ever since I saw it–  and can create an equally compelling Emotional Ride with a woman– was Acroyoga.

I had learned the basics from a couple of classes back in SF, but because of the trust involved, it requires a commitment to practice regularly with whomever your partner is…

And while travelling through India, I was fortunate to find someone equally committed and inspired…!

After seeing this beautiful Russian woman on the beach dancing “contact improv”, I suspected she might be interested in practicing with me.

She agreed tentatively for me to show her a few things, and after her first time “flying”, I asked her, “Good? You enjoyed this?”

“Not good”, she replied in her Russian-accented broken English… “GREAT.  I LOVE this.  Can we practice every day?”

We trained a couple of hours each day, learning together while following the “Flight Manual“…   and within a week, we were doing little performances together like this on the beach.

Turns out she’s an amazing being, we get along like chai and chapati :), and we’re having an amazing time, traveling through many other parts of India together…

We’re still practicing, and we had a blast staying up til 3am choosing the music and putting together the video you see above!

And… I’m crystal-clear that this connection would never have happened if I had not been pursuing my personal interests..ones that I ENJOY, and that can create an emotional ride with women.

DEVELOP HOBBIES THAT DEEPEN THE EMOTIONAL CONNECTION WITH WOMEN

My point is this:

If you’re looking to meet more women and have more rewarding connections in 2010, consider investing in hobbies that, first and foremost…

1) YOU ENJOY, and

2) can create an “EMOTIONAL RIDE” with women.

So, as opposed to playing “World of Warcraft” online, watching sports, or reading at home…

This year, consider learning

* partner dancing

* contact improv

* acroyoga

* singing karaoke…

* playing music (DJing or learning a musical instrument can create an emotionally compelling experience for Lots of people at once…)

So, I want to hear from YOU.

Post your comments, as well as other ideas you have for hobbies that you enjoy, that bring value to your connection with women, and create an EMOTIONAL RIDE…!

Leave your ideas below!

Love from India,

Bryan
